My first 48 mosaik done in one go. It starts of slow and at times the path was a bit unclear and I ended up going back. Right around Odeonsplatz the portal density is high enough to clear a lot of missions in a short amount of time. Towards the end it gets slower again, with less portals and less portals used.
The questions are always the next mission number. I do like hack the last portal and answer at the beginning of the next portal more as you can't accidentally hack the portal.
I wonder why duplicated portals and a looping path towards the end was necessary in a city with that much portals. Other than that it was a nice walk through Munich.
Took me about 6h with a lot of glyphing because of the glyph challenge.
The mosaik started out pretty nice with a clear path. Towards the middle, the first portals where reused even though other portals were available. Right in the middle, one portal was not reachable. I had to ask a local business to go into their backyard. And the same portal was used again a few missions later.
Overall, it was a nice walk through the 11th district. Not the most efficient, but ok nonetheless.
First, the hard facts: It took us 2 1/2 hours without much haste. Remember to choose the mission from the last hacked portal to find it quickly. Questions are the mission number. Right in the middle of mission 6 you can choose to turn right and take the steps down to the Donaukanal. You'll reach all portals and there are stairs back up where the mosaik turns away from the Donaukanal. Doing this will mean you'll reach less portals but instead of walking beside a busy road you can enjoy the street art.
As the creator of this mosaik, instead of pointing out my biased opinion, I'll give you the reason why I chose this route: We have A LOT of mosaiks through the first district in Vienna. And it makes sense, given the portal density and the high amount of tourist attractions there. This mosaik takes a different approach and leads you around the first district. Close enough to be doable even for tourists yet off the usual path of other mosaiks. Even for someone playing a lot in Vienna there might be some uniques there!
It's a mission day, so the pictures are not why you are doing it. This mission day took me around Prague. I appreciated that it included a few different aspects of Prague and I'm willing to do missions a little further out.
Still, I couldn't find a good path and it took ma way to long to do the 18 missions. I was able to start early but if I had only spent the day I'm not sure if I would have been able to do all. Sure, you only need 6, but the idea is that it should be possible to do all, right?
I never did a mosaik which required capture or upgrade. The idea here is pretty nice in that you know exactly where the last mission starts because the last portal is always "capture or upgrade" and then you start the next mission and hack it.
Took me 2 hours which I consider fast for 24 missions. I needed a few heat sinks and because of the mission day there were no high level portals of the other faction or L8 of my faction which could any problem with the capture or upgrade.
A nice mosaik a little of the beaten path. Took me about 3 hours. Englisch passphrases would have been nice, but the answers are listed in the comments below.
It took me a few heatsinks and sometimes the path is not as clear as could be. It takes you to some nice churches and I appreciated that it didn't include the cementary right beside the last mission. Start and end are near tram stations.
A quick banner around the first district. It took us less than 3h with a bit of deploying and fielding, which is very fast for 42 missions. The first district has great portal density, so hunting uniques there makes sense.
Take heat sinks, you are going to need them. The hack sequences are sometimes misleading, taking you back to a portal you just passed and maybe hacked, while ignoring other portals on the way.
Make sure to check the opening hours of Burggarten as you need to go through it (it's not possible to reach all portals from the outside).
A quick mosaik with a nice image through a suburban like part of Berlin.
I enjoyed this one and was very happy about the iconic image in my scanner afterwards. Some missions are a tad long due to the fact that portals are not as close together as in the inner city. Took me about 1 1/2 hours walking with a quick stop at a supermarket and a bit of fielding.
What a nice banner! The picture is great, the portals are well chosen. I was able to pick the starting portal for the next mission almost always just by looking at the next portals on my way. Make sure to check the hints regarding mission 12 and 16!
The last few missions are a bit long and mission 28 is missing the starting portal (you have to search for the mission through the missions tab).
Quick and easy mosaik, nice walk through a blue part of the city. I didn't appreciate the capture or upgrade parts, mostly because I already went by many portals on the route and was lucky to be able to upgrade all portals. If I had upgraded one before I have needed to flip and destroy a L7 portal. Some portals were close to 8, so depending on when they'll be destroyed blue agents might have a problem and need to flip a L8 portal to continue the mission.
At one of the last mosaiks, one portal is not reachable anymore due to construction work. I went around the whole block but without success. Luckily the portal was next to my hotel so I went inside and after 10 minutes I managed to drift towards it.
The last two missions cover portals already covered by previous missions, which is a bit annoying. The questions seem random, not related to the mosaik and I wasn't able to find the second answer anywhere near the portal and had to Google it.
This one felt like cheating. It was almost too fast and easy. Don't do this if you want a lot of uniques or see a lot of Munich. This is clearly a mosaik only for the picture as you'll visit the same waypoints over and over again.
It was a nice change of pace after the MD and a good idea if you are a little tired or just want to walk a lot.
Nice mosaik through a big park and parts of munich western area. I was a bit surprised that only about half the missions are within the westpark.
Walking is quick, questions are the mission number. This is awesome since you don't have to search for the next mission but simply choose the mission from the last portal you hacked!
I did need a few heat sinks here and there when it was not obvious that I was walking a different path then intended. I also think a few more missions within the park itself would be very nice, as there was one part of the park which isn't covered by the mosaik at all.
The image is really nice and overall I enjoyed the mosaik very much!
This was a quick one! A few missions in between are a little spread out but we finished it in 3 hours easily. I wouldn't recommend going by bike as a large part is in the prater with a lot of people and narrow roads.
We needed a few heat sinks as sometimes the hacking order is backwards. Keeping this in mind we managed to not get tricked to often ;)
The route itself is easy, takes you through the second district, Würstlprater and the Grüner Prater, which is a nice change of scenery and pace.
Nice small mosaik through Tel Aviv. I like the image although I think 18 or 24 missions and the full flag would be even nicer.
Be aware that due to construction work (Light Railway) you can't access the last portal for mission 9 directly and have to go around the whole construction side, either back west or further east. I went east (unique captures) and it was a detour of over 1km.
Nice Missionday, with up to 18 missions to be done within the old town by foot.
The last 6 are a bit remote. I did the last 6 by tram and foot and would not do them again that way but take a bike. Public transport is spotty with bus 45 from the Tierpark to Luitpold Grave going every 30 minutes.
Yet, all but the Tierpark are worth the trip. The zoo would make sense if you plan on going into the zoo as well. There is not much outside which makes this mission pretty pointless.
But Luitpold Grave was well worth the trip. The big park with the Ehrenhalle was impressive!
The answer to the first question is always the mission number, so that's super quick. It's also awesome to have the mission start at the last hack, so you can just choose the mission from the portal instead of scrolling through the missions around you. No screw-ups possible ;)
The missions lead through the old town of Nuremberg and I came across some nice little spots.
Nice walk through the 4th district. The beginning is a bit tricky if you are not familier with the area around the train station. After the first mission you have to cross a big street. I opted to go back to the traffic lights. I needed a few heat sinks as I had to hack portals I already passed.
It took me around 3 hours with a bit of fielding, a few detours for uniques and a quick stop at a supermarket.
First of: Make sure to check opening hours and make sure you have at least 4 hours (fast walking pace, no big detours) if you want to finish the mosaik in one go.
If you are hunting uniques, you'll get almost all of the ones in the cemetery just by doing the mosaik. BUT you'll miss around 20 located behind the big church (Friedhofskirche zum Heiligen Karl Borromaus). I'd advise you to hack/capture the portals behind the church either while doing mission 9 or mission 18.
You might be walking on muddy ground so make sure to bring proper shoes.
The path of the mosaik is very intuitive and flows along rather nice.
Nice Mosaik through Munich. Perfect for cold winter days or when you are to tired to walk ;)
Due to reconstructions at Sendlinger Tor, I had to alter the route a bit:
1. Tram 19 to Max Weber Platz
2. Tram 37 to Isartor
3. Walking to Sendlinger Tor
4. Tram 16 to Romanplatz
5. Tram 12 to Scheidplatz
I had no problem getting in all hacks without going back or missing anything. I wrote down the starting portals beforehand which made it much easier to find the starting portal and start the mission from there.
Nice mosaik, sometimes the next mission starts up to 200m away although there are portals close, but that wasn't a big deal. The portal in front of the Parliament is rather hard to hack due to construction works and if the park in front of the Rathaus is used for events not all portals might be reachable.
A nice mosaik walking you through the 7th district. Bring a few heat sinks as sometimes the order of hacking portals is a little mixed up. After mission 14 you have to go around the whole block to get to the starting point of mission 15 which is a bit annoying.
English: The last step (Bim 2 to Rathaus) changed permanently after construction work. Instead take the 44 to Johann-Nepomuk-Berger-Platz and from there take Bim 2 to Rathaus.
It's my mosaic so take my comment with a grain of salt, but looking back I liked it. It's long and I'm not sure if it's doable in one take. I did split it up into 6 parts, which was very manageable. Around the first district missions are hard to find because there are so many around. It's good to look up the starting portals beforehand and get close to make it easier to find the mission.
The mosaic is 24/7 as even the portals in the Türkenschanzpark can be reached from the outside (and I think they don't close the park anymore).
A nice mosaik which I enjoyed even though I knew most of the places already.
Some missions are rather long, given that some parts of the district have a low portal density. In some parts the way goes backwarks or requires hacking portals you already passed. I used a heat sink to hack again and not waste a few minutes.
Nice Mosaik overall. Going by bike/car is not recommended as many ways go through one-way streets. Sometimes, the back and forth is a bit irritating.
One portal was not reachable from the street and I had to enter a backyard, which is fine at daytime but might not be open at night. With a little GPS drift it could be doable from the outside, but I wasn't lucky.
Nice Mosaik which leads you through the first district of Vienna. Missions are sometimes a bit chaotic, requiring to hack portals you already passed. Try to only hack the next portal in line or you'll need more time or Heat Sink Mods.
Sometimes, Missions are very short (one Mission in particular required no walking at all). Good for collecting missions, bad if you want to move around and see things. I also disliked that in the fields of portals, which was already a lot, additional waypoints where added, making it hard to understand what to do next.
The mosaik took me about 2 1/2 hours by foot. Don't use a bike as you won't get far in the first district.
Nice Mosaik. In the beginning missions are a little long. It took me a little over 4h to complete it. As always, biking would be not a good option as one-way streets are on the way and a few times big roads must be crossed.
