First off, if you drive to the start point, you can park close by. You will need to pay 2 euro’s , in coins. Only 0,50 , 1 and 2 euro coins are accepted.
As for the banner, it takes you through some lovely scenery and the small city centre of Delden. The first 12 missions go smoothly, after that it gets somewhat more haphazardly. Make sure you just hack the portals that are asked for or have some heatsinks ready.
Duration is exaggerated on IM, I did it in 2h45m walking and I wasn’t particularly fast.
In the end , nice picture and would recommend this banner
Done on a sunday afternoon during the double ap, triple r7 deploy event. Was going rather slow and still done in three hours on foot. With just hack and go, 2-2,5 hours seems more likely.
There are a few back and forth parts that are kind of annoying but nothing too bad. The owner comment states that especially for the last part a bike is optimal and I do agree. Still, walking was just fine and at the end you do have a very beautiful picture added to your scanner. Would recommend this banner.
Do this one during the day as you are not allowed in the park after sunset. It’s a beautiful environment in a little sleepy village. If you have the time (and like this sort of thing), you could visit the local brewery in the centre.
Banner is easy to follow and doesnt take a lot of time. Especially if you just hack and continue , you could easily finish this within two hours. Definitely would recommend this banner.
Very fun little banner. As stated, you can design your own boat. Can quite easily be done within the hour. And if you're ever fed up by the design, just do it again, it doesn't take much time. Would definitely recommend.
Very nice banner, routing is very smooth and logical. The startportal of the next mission is always close by. And finally , the picture is really cute. Would definitely recommend this banner. Indicated time seems very reasonable.
Very nice banner, shows you quite a lot of nice spots in Amsterdam. Easy to do on foot, due to the passphrases (mission number) the indicated time is way off. Did it in 3 hours and that wasn’t particularly rushing it.
Great seasonal picture banner in Hengelo. This one as is stated is definitely not a cargress banner. Now I have done this one on foot divided over two days but it is best suited for bike-gressing, due to the distances between portals. If you do go ahead and do this one on foot, it is still very doable. Just keep going , once you reach mission 16, you'll see it will be a lot faster from this point on and you can make some good progress.
It's mostly situated in and around tuindorp, a very nice and quaint part of Hengelo.
I would definitely recommend this banner , especially if you like seasonal banners.
O boy, where to start with the comments on this one.....
Well, for starters, this banner is awesome. It's huuuuuge, it takes a lot of time to complete (and I do mean A LOT) , but it is very rewarding. As described, you will visit every portal within the ringroad surrounding Rotterdam. For me , one of the great parts of this whole experience was seeing the many faces Rotterdam has. One moment you can be in a really urban area, the next moment you are in a really green part and after that you might be on a little square that feels like you are in some kind of 200 year old village.
As for personal experiences: I managed to do this in 9 days , going with the provided suggestion of doing the first 6 on foot (you really dont have another option there), mission 7 and 8 by car and the rest by bike. In total this got me to 2865 upv and 1465 upc and I even atended aegis nova Rotterdam. I also got platinum pioneer.
Because this cannot be stressed enough, you really want to plan for this banner. You need a lot of time so unless you live in the neighbourhood and travel is easy, you really want to plan for your stay and for how much time you want to spend.
Second, you really do wanna look up from you scanner regularly. You get to see everything within the ringroad and there really are plenty sights you want to see. It would be a shame if you would miss out on all the lovely scenes.
Third, if you are not used to riding a bike alot, you want to make sure you have a comfortable saddle. Saddlepain can be quite the issue so taking steps to prevent that are hugely advisable. Also, if it's possible for you to arrange , an electric bike might be a huge boon.
Last, there are gonna be quite a few 180 turns when you reach a portal. This cannot be prevented since you are going to hack every portal. If you pay some attention to your scanner and the map, you can get a feel for the flow and when this will occur. The missions are cut up so you finish one neighbourhood and then move on to the next. So if you pay attention to that, you might get a feel for when a 180 turn will come up and you wont pass the portal , only to find out the next portal is behind you.
Oh, and before I forget: there is a xf tg chat, where you can talk with people who have done this banner, including the creator of this banner. You can contact @BAZINGAA or @Se7enOfNine for access to the channel and receive a ton of help there.
It was a great joy to do this banner. It took a lot of energy but in the end it was well worth it.
Well designed banner, you can finish this extremely fast for such a big one. Did this one on foot, took 3-3,5 hours and wasnt going particularly fast. There are some parts where you go into a street to grab one portal and then back where you came from. If you pay some attention you’ll quickly get a feel where this will happen. Might be somewhat more of a hassle if you’re going by bike.
Overall, very enjoyable banner, love the design , 10/10, would recommend
Very smooth banner, takes you through the park and takes you around the church one time. The church itself is rather big and well preserved, I thought that one was worth the visit itself. I walked this one with hack only, did it in about an hour. I think this one is doable for people in a wheelchair, only downside is , is that the shortcut has stairs, when you go to the church. You'd have to take a detour for that one.
A well designed banner that runs very smoothly through Hengelo. I did this one on foot, I'd wager it took me around 4,5 hours of walking (not exactly sure as I was also busy deploying and destroying for quite a bit). It is quite clear that it's primarily designed as a bike banner but it's very doable for people that like to walk.
Just finished this banner by bike. The routing is quite poor. Very often you have to double back. Every time you think you see the logical next portal you actually have to go the other way. When you’re getting close to the end , part 23 and 24 once again have rather large gaps between unassuming portals. Then, when you’re finished you are left at a playground in the middle of nowhere.
In short, do this banner because you want the picture, not if you’re looking for a smooth walk or bikeride.
Did this in 3h:15, so the indicated time required seems quite correct
Did this banner today with some lovely weather. I've walked the banner and I think it's very doable within 2-2,5 hours for most people. It's also very doable if you have a bike, although one mission takes you through a park so you'd have to walk that part. It's small so that shouldn't be a problem.
All in all, very enjoyable banner if you want a quick 12 mission banner added to your scanner.
This is a lovely 12 mission banner which will teach you some things about the local beer called grolsch. I would personally very much recommend doing this one by bike. One important thing to keep in mind: in mission number 11 to reach the second portal (memorial stone) you want to cross the a35 highway first , over the bridge. After that, when you are about 300m from the portal, take the bike lane right because you have to enter the grolsch terrain. This also means that this mission is not doable 24 hours a day as the gate closes. Im not familiar with the times , I personally did it somewhere between 19-20 o clock.
The banner itself can probably be done in an hour, I took a few detours.
This banner is one where a bike is heavily advised. It can be done on foot but that will take you quite a long time. Cargress is not an option for this one. It took me about four hours to complete this one and that got me the happy little critter in my scanner. Please do be aware that in a lot of the mission you will go to a portal and then immediately have to turn around. It's also worth noting that the areas Groot and Klein Driene will often seem to have a dead end street but you can use the sidewalks to go between the houses and garage boxes to easily reach another portal.
This banner hardly uses any portals from the centre of Hengelo, for that you could use the inner hengelo banner from the creator.
Just like agent Katth I also did this banner with the maker and her family. This is a really nice banner that nicely shows you all the nice places of Hoorn and it's wonderfull history. Maybe worth noting that some new portals have come online along the route that simply didn't exist at the time of creation. If you want to get as many upv/upc with this banner as possible, be sure to check the portal list to see if you can safely hack any given portal. Maybe also worth noting that from mission 6 you will hack a portal, skip the next one and have to hack the one after that. This is the part where you walk toward the lighthouse at the end of the pier. The portals you skip are the ones you will hack on the way back.
I would highly recommend doing this banner for exploring Hoorn.
Very nice banner. Route flows nicely. There are a few portals you might be tempted to hack on the way when you pass them by , which do show up later in a following mission (so if you're triggerhappy, keep some heatsinks at hand).
I finished it in one go , walking , and took just under four hours. This is with a lot of destroying, capturing and linking/fielding.If you just answer the questions and hack and keep moving, this should be very doable in 2 hours.
Well designed biocard. Very easy to follow, can easily be done by foot or with a bike. Car is not recommended. There are allready quite a few one way streets and there are some narrow alleys which cannot be accessed with a car at all.
