I-a-unpublish ko to isam buwan after mag-start ang Optima Global Challenge.

There are temples where you are expected to put 40baht-donation before entering the gates like Wat Phra Singh and Wat Chedi Luang. But no worries for missions on these temples since portals are accessible outside.
Complete the mission MD 2020: Chiang Mai, Wat Hua Kuang before 6PM.
During MD, we were advised to dress in clothing appropriate to temple visits, covering the knees. Before entering a temple, remove your hat, sunglasses, and shoes.
Parts of Luneta are temporarily closed even during park hours. However, for the missions on this banner, portals chosen were all accessible.
My least favourite part is crossing Roxas Boulevard and reaching San Lorenzo Ruiz Plaza at night..
But overall, the sequence is smooth, hack-all-the-way, easy to finish banner.
I did not experience any GPS drift for this banner.
However I wouldn’t want to recommend this to agents who are impatient with sequential missions with repetitive routes.
Also, careful when upgrading resonators if you don’t want to waste ADA flip mods.
Careful not to hack certain portals which ask for a passphrase if you don't want to use heat sinks.
You can sort the mission list in the scanner by "names" instead of "distance".
Make sure to not enter the gates of subdivisions or any schools.
Just use the minor basilica's entrance.
Portals should be reached in the church's vicinity.
You can use the park's clean public restrooms. There's also one near the convent.
Don't forget to enjoy the local cuisine of Batangas later after the finishing the banner.
If you’re a Globe-sim user, your patience will be tested on the last (6th of 6) mission. That is along the cemetery. The signal is unstable as of writing this comment.
I’m not from the locale but you should be able to know more about this municipality while doing this banner.
Be cautious with the tricycles here. And please no jaywalking.
I started the mission on foot thru a rainy evening. I did not bring an umbrella but it was never a problem. From the bus terminal to the market there’s a shed so you won’t get wet.
I appreciate the fact that the mission sequence was carefully planned. Twas arranged strategically from one portal to another making the whole mission go smoothly. Just be careful not to hack when it’s supposed to be captured/upgraded.
Definitely recommended for people who only do easy missions. However it should be noted that this particular banner was dedicated for an event one year ago.
With Makati having surrounded with high-rise buildings, GPS drift is expected in the area. Bring some patience. Or pray to drift-gods.
After the first three missions, everything should go smoothly.
I don’t know what the banner means nor the project stated on the description (G+ is dead, btw). I just thought it’s a cool addition to my scanner.
My aim before doing this mission is to add some stats for my trekker. And yes, I got what wanted.
But for those agents who are not fans of Ingress missions, the first part would be painful. Excruciating I say.. There would be many “you kidding me?!” and “seriously?!” moments along the way. The distance between portals to be hacked is not pleasing. You’ve been warned.
Adding to the challenge is the gps drift. BGC is packed with skyscrapers. Pray to the drift gods for luck.
Bring some good ol heatsinks too. And water for hydration.
Apparently this banner mission was created three years ago which explains the sequence of the portals on every mission. There have been new portals along the path.
The consolation is the banner itself. I like the color contrast which is great for my scanner. Glad I was able to finish this before my battery drained.
If you want to do this banner at noon, like I did, you’ll be fine. It’s hot during daytime walking on concrete. However if it’s raining, you’ll definitely get wet.
Don’t forget to bring your water. Hydrate! Convenience stores are everywhere, you’ll have no problem buying refreshments. And restaurants for your hunger. Though you can finish the banner in less than 30 minutes brisk walking, you may encounter random Centris Cats along the way and pet ‘em. These feline friends are actually “residing” here.
Love the banner! And it’s timely since we’re currently on the nemesis series.
I did this at dawn on a Wednesday when BGC (Bonifacio Global City) is still asleep. All portals were accessible even at these hours however this place is very drifty. I tried turning on and off the data and wifi, inserting the headset, airplane mode, rebooting the app, run-then-sudden-stop, walking in circles.. meh.
Or maybe it was just my device.. Though I can’t switch phones cause I only have one.
Grab some luck before doing this banner or offer baby goats to the drift gods.
Adding to the challenge was the rain. Good thing I have an umbrella with me.
Vending machines are everywhere — excellent for hydration. Just ask any awake guards where to pee. Since toilets were closed on BGC High Street at dawn, I opt to enjoy some snacks in a fastfood spot where toilets are free so I took a leak there.
Is the routing carefully designed? I’ve seen worse.
And hey it’s just 18 missions, and if you like the challenge you should be good.
One last thing, if you’re out of heatsinks, make sure to wait before hacking. Pause, and breathe to minimize cussing. Prime is sometimes late in notifying that it’s suppose to be captured or upgraded, not hacked. Or you’ll end up like me standing in a corner, staring at some cat for four minutes.
TLDR; magbaon ng mahabang pasensya. Mga tatlong rulers, tsaka isang iskwala.
If you don’t want to use heat sinks, this banner is for you as long as you follow the sequence. You must visit 6 portals on each mission; answer the passphrase on the first, then just hack the following portals.
The series was designed to have the sixth portal be the first passphrase portal of the following mission.
You don’t need a calculator for the passphrases. Just answer in numerical character.
If the passphrase asks [ 4 + 4 =? ], just answer [ 8 ] and not “eight”.
Completed these missions twice, on Prime and then Redacted. I recommend to use the latter (available until September 2019). Took me about 40 minutes on foot. This part of Pasay is smelly and dirty, looks sketchy but apparently it’s oddly safe. Tried it at dawn and at night.
For the passphrases:
Latin for “human” is homo. Charles Robert Darwin is known for his contributions to the science of evolution. Darwinism is a theory of biological evolution. Darwin published [On the Origin of Species] in 1859.
Type the first and last name of personalities asked on passphrases, ie put Gregorio Del Pilar not just “del pilar”.
On missions 2 and 3, a portal (rizal park - sentinel of freedom) is positioned in the portion of the park that is off to public (as of writing). If praying to drift gods won’t work, try sneaking when the guards are asleep.
When asked for a complete date, the format is MONTH (DD) (YEAR).
Plan the portal sequence or you’ll end up going back and forth between portals which is exhausting.
Spoiler alert: this comment includes Q&A for the passphrases. If you wish to complete the banner by challenging yourself answering the questions, do not read this comment.
Clues pop-up for passphrases. I recommend using [REDACTED]. Previous version of Ingress Prime does not show the clues.

This beautiful astronaut wall art is still on as of writing. It’s actually huge.
BGC is stacked with buildings so expect a lot of gps drifting from time to time while doing this banner. But this one particular portal in mission 7 is frustratingly hard to hack. It’s the “The Zhu Lady” which is apparently not located on the Zhu Restaurant. It’s pinned in the center of HSBC building. It took me awhile walking like crazy circling the building just to reach that portal. No I did not. I stopped, sat on a rock and watched as my scanner slowly drifted to the portal. Then “hack”. Everything else were just a piece of cake.
People’s Park is not open to public 24/7. If you’re just visiting Davao City to do this mission, you must plan wisely to save time.
At mission 15 note that StJosephTechSchool is almost a kilometer walk from Artiaga. There’s “sikad” (local tricycle taxi) that you can ride, but I chose to complete the mission on foot.
The Philippine Monkey-Eating is an icon of Davao City and is the country’s national bird (as of writing).
Though I’m not sure if it’s the MoA bay walk, it’s beautiful regardless. However the banner is the only consolation.
At the second (out of twelve) mission I already felt it’s terrible. Mall of Asia is wide and has clusters of portals but it felt like the mission sequence doesn’t make any sense. And that last mission, very corny but it’s a bit sweet I would say. Surely foreigners who would try this wouldn’t appreciate.
If time isn’t a factor, or you live nearby Pasay City, it would be a fun walk with friends. But if you’re alone, and is new to MoA, and/or in a tight schedule, I don’t recommend this 12-tile banner mission. It’s a beautiful banner but you’ve been warned.
The park is not always open. But if you’re not from Davao, try to politely ask permission from the guards since you don’t have the time (e.g. have a flight to catch). They’ll allow you to have special entry.
There are times in a year (Kadayawan, Araw ng Dabaw, etc.) where a visitor cannot be allowed inside if one has a backpack. Leave your bags in the hotel or in the baggage counter in the nearest mall.
